Our Story

In September 2024, amidst boxes, new classes, and unfamiliar hallways, two Pakistani graduate students, Hadi and Sannan, met on Harvard's steps. It wasn't grand or loud—just two people searching for familiarity in a place that struggled to pronounce their names.

Their conversation moved from English to Urdu, from policy lectures to Lahore's rain-soaked streets, chai stands, and Faiz's poetry whispered late into the night. In that quiet exchange, they realized something was missing—not Pakistan as seen on the news, but Pakistan as a feeling, a home, a story waiting to be shared.

Together, as co-chairs, they brought together a passionate team of Harvard students committed to this vision: a conference built on authenticity, dialogue, and community. Its many moving parts carefully steeped by the Chaiwala.

On April 27, 2025, at Harvard University, the Pakistan Conference returns—the largest student-led gathering on Pakistan in the U.S. It’s more than powerful panels or keynotes by global experts; it's about bridging divides, building tomorrow, and reclaiming narratives. A full day dedicated to culture, connection, and conversations on inclusive growth, governance, and Pakistan's global journey.

This isn’t just another conference—it’s a homecoming.
